Welcome to the USDDN, the online home for the US Disc Dog Nationals Championships Series featuring the US Disc Dog Nationals Championships Weekend. The US Disc Dog Nationals is organized by a Steering Committee including members from many of the country's disc dog clubs. We look forward to welcoming you to the Nationals Championships Series events.

OPEN LETTER

It has been brought to our attention that the cancellation of qualifiers by event hosts has a negative impact on the perception of the USDDN Steering Committee (SC). As an SC, we are continually trying to expand the global footprint of our Championship Series through support of both our new venues/hosts as well as our "returning" hosts . I want to take the opportunity to explain how Qualifiers are selected:

  • A Host submits a proposal/request to the USDDN SC. This request must include: i) Date of event ii) Location of event; iii) what divisions will be offered (Freestyle &/or Super Pro); iv) Contact Name & info; v) information about the venue (if in conjunction with another attraction)
  • The USDDN SC votes on each request.
  • If approved, the host is responsible for coordinating/funding the event, advertising (including providing any event information to the USDDN Web Master), obtaining certified judges and submission of results to the Championship Series Coordinator in a timely & complete manner.

    • While we regret that information posted on our website may be erroneous due to hosts cancelling events without notifying the SC, or where they did not supply the correct event details to the webmaster, we are unable to force compliance. Where we find that hosts have not fulfilled their responsibilities to the competitor or to the SC, our recourse can only be addressed in the next competition year - i.e. refusal of hosting privileges for the extreme cases or guidance/mentoring for minor issues.
